One-on-one, every time

The same tutor, at your child’s pace.

Every session is one-on-one with a tutor who adjusts in the moment. Nothing is guessed, and nothing advances until a skill is truly mastered. Because reading, writing, math, and homework overlap, we start with whichever skill is holding school back most.

How we teach

Progress you can see

Measured, not guessed.

We reassess every six months and report results in the same language used in a formal evaluation, so progress is measured, not guessed. With your permission we share results with your child’s school team.

Questions families ask

Tutoring: what parents want to know first

Do you help with subjects other than reading?

Yes. Reading and spelling are the heart of what we do, and we also tutor math with Math-U-See and provide homework support. Tell us where your child gets stuck and we will talk through the right starting point.

What ages do you work with?

Students can begin as early as kindergarten, and we work with learners all the way through college. We screen young learners to catch difficulties early and tailor instruction at every stage.

Do you offer in-person and online tutoring?

Both. We tutor in person at our Saint Paul and Oakdale locations, and online over Zoom. For Barton reading students, online sessions become available once they have completed levels one and two. We offer online math support as well.

Can you support my child’s school goals, IEP, or 504 plan?

Yes. We are glad to understand the goals in your child’s IEP or 504 plan and support them, and with your permission we can share screening and progress results with your child’s school team, so everyone is pulling in the same direction.

Do you diagnose dyslexia or other learning disabilities?

We are a tutoring and remediation center, not a diagnostic clinic. Our screening and baseline assessment pinpoint skill gaps, and if a comprehensive evaluation would help, we are glad to point you toward a neuropsychologist.
